T.E.A.C.H. is an acronym that stands for Training, Employment and Community Help, Inc.
Are Donations to T.E.A.C.H. Tax Deductible?
Yes, T.E.A.C.H. is designated by the Internal Revenue Service as a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization. Staff can provide receipts for all donations
Do I need to live in Modoc County to be eligible for assistance through T.E.A.C.H?
In most cases the answer is yes, however, services available at the Tulelake Newell Family Resource Center are available to both Modoc County and Siskiyou County Residents.
Where does T.E.A.C.H. get their funding to operate the programs?
T.E.A.C.H. receives funding from several different sources including local donations, foundations and State and Federal grants.
Does T.E.A.C.H. provide reasonable accommodations for me if I am disabled?
Yes, the T.E.A.C.H. building is handicap accessible, there is also handicap parking, a handicap accessible restroom and a TDD Telephone for the hearing impaired.
Does T.E.A.C.H. provide translation services if English is not my primary language?
Yes, T.E.A.C.H. has a bilingual staff person who can help translate Spanish to English. T.E.A.C.H. also has all forms in Spanish available. If the event that translation is needed for another language T.E.A.C.H. will make reasonable efforts to provide translation services.
If I need assistance after hours how can I get in contact with a staff person?
If you need assistance due to a domestic violence or sexual assault emergency please call the Modoc Crisis Center Hotline at (530)233-4575 or (800)291-2156. If you have any other types of emergency please contact the Modoc County Sheriffs Department at (530)233-4416 and they will contact the proper staff person.
